Surah Taha Ayat 29-30-31-32-33-34-35 Translation Tafseer

Para 16 - قَالَ اَلَمْ

سورة طه

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

20.29-30-31-32-33-34-35

وَ اجْعَلْ لِّیْ وَزِیْرًا مِّنْ اَهْلِیْۙ (29) هٰرُوْنَ اَخِیۙ (30) اشْدُدْ بِهٖۤ اَزْرِیْۙ (31) وَ اَشْرِكْهُ فِیْۤ اَمْرِیْۙ (32) كَیْ نُسَبِّحَكَ كَثِیْرًاۙ (33) وَّ نَذْكُرَكَ كَثِیْرًاﭤ(34) اِنَّكَ كُنْتَ بِنَا بَصِیْرًا(35)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

And make a helper for me from my family;[1] my brother Hārūn. Strengthen my back through him.[1] And make him a partner in my task. That we may glorify you much. And remember you much. Indeed, You are watching us.

Commentary

Thus, we learn that it is not unlawful to make one’s relative a representative. The real standard is capability; if one’s son is capable, then it is fine to make him a successor; this is not a crime, however, choosing not to do this for some external reason is a separate matter. A lot of extremes (at both ends of the scale) are observed in the opinions of people regarding this issue, however, the moderate path should be adopted.

From this, we come to know that to seek the power and assistance of another besides Allah Almighty is not in conflict with having trust in God nor does it contravene the doctrine of Divine Oneness (tawhīd).
